Trip to Santa Fe

Day 25  Thursday, February 23, 2023

Today we continue our exploration of Santa Fe proper. We started heading to the Cross of the Martyr's but came upon Historic Fortt Marcy Park. You walked up a trail which had markers outlining the history of the area and the fort. On the way you come upon the Cross and also get panoramic views of Santa Fe. Then we went to visit the 2nd oldest church in Santa Fe - Santuario de Guadalupe. Camilla filled us in on the history of the church and on the story of our Lady of Guadalupe. Being a bit thirsty we found our way to Del Charro for a beer and Nachos (a meal in itself.) From there it was on to the New Mexico Museum of Art. They are redoing many of te rooms though so we only saw part of the collection. From there we scoped out Canyon Road and parking at the Railroad Station for future excursions. Another good day!
