Day 27 Saturday, February 25, 2023
It was a lazy Saturday. We slept in and waited until after noon to go into Santa Fe. We headed to Canyon Road, a mile of high end, exclusive, expensive galleries and jewelry shops. We went in some just to look and enjoyed the numerous sculpture gardens along the way. We stopped at a wine garden but had a hot chocolate and listened to their guitarist. At 3:00 we returned to our car and moved it to a parking garage across from the theater we were going to tonight. Mass at St. Francis Cathedral was at 4:00. The choir was amazing and the Mass was more like a concert. Little did we know that it would be a bilingual Mass - half in English half in Spanish but Ron said he didn't mind. The opening of Mass was interesting. The bulletin said "We open the Liturgy with the beat of the Native Ameican Drum, which reminds us of our heartbeat united with the heart of Christ." The drum reverberated throughout the church. Dinner was at the Draft Station, a rooftop pizza place. Fom there it was on to the Lensic Theater to see Second City Swipe Right. It was a very entertaining show and we're always impressed by improv. Fun evening.
